FiNALly! The weekend Jacket is IN!

I've got 50 copies. Count 'em. 50!

Things were held up at the Canadian boarder due to some ....ahem... shake-up last week.
All packages have now been released and we finally recieved the
"Weekend Jacket" pattern and plenty of
Chunky Marble yarn.
Whoohooo! (It's about time.)

Our winter hours begin October 1st (TOMORROW). So listen up!

Monday 10-8pm
Tuesday-Thursday 10-6pm

Friday 12-8 pm <-----HERE'S THE BIG CHANGE!!!
Saturday 10-5pm

We have a VERY large part of our clientele that needs later hours for shopping.
We're here to please!
We have lots planned for Friday nights including fun, education & surprises.

  • Bring in your old Yorkshire Yarns bags for reuse and get .25 cents off your purchase.
  • Kerlina still needs Gators. She has about 170 made and has reached her goal for October 1st. But check this out. The goal has been increased to 700 to cover the entire battalion. We need to continue knitting until we're done! Kerlina will continue to gather completed gators till the goal is met.

  • The Land's End FeelGood is asking volunteers to knit 25,000 hats to warm-up the homeless & displaced. Come in and get the free yarn to get started.
  • Yorkshire Yarns supports Breast Cancer Awareness in October with projects & gadgets. Each are pink (of course) and part of the proceeds are donated towards breast cancer research.

Cat Bordhi in 2 days!

1st public book signing party this Thursday, September 24th.
Her new book arrived Friday in the shop so you can pick one up before the event if you'd like.

Worldwide Spin In Public Day THIS Saturday!

There will be a gathering of spinners, knitters & crocheters for
Worldwide Spin In Public Day this Saturday.
September 19th from 10-4pm we'll be meeting in Allyn in the park (next to the Allyn Knit & Spinning Shop).
Several stores will be on hand with merchandise for your convenience.

Bring your spindle or wheel and sit & spin.
Or come & gain some beginner skills from some of the area's best spinners.
